Sports and Leisure

Physical education at Uman National University is a system of socio-pedagogical activities aimed at improving health and building physical resilience, fostering the harmonious development of students’ physical form, functions, and abilities, and promoting essential motor skills and a healthy lifestyle.

For students with certain health conditions, the Department of Physical Education and Psychological-Pedagogical Disciplines has established a special educational program. To help these students build resilience and improve their health, practical outdoor classes are organized.

Nine sports are actively promoted at the university: track and field, basketball, volleyball, weightlifting, kettlebell lifting, table tennis, powerlifting, soccer, and judo. The university serves as the training base for Ukraine’s national table tennis team in preparation for international competitions.

The university holds an annual sports competition in the main sports disciplines, and the winners are awarded certificates and medals. The Uman National University of Agriculture’s teams participate in regional, city, and national sports competitions, competing for top places.

Services available to students include the University’s Center for Culture and Education, which hosts 10 creative groups and provides all the necessary conditions for developing artistic talents in choreography, folk and contemporary singing, instrumental music, and theater arts.
