BAYHOST is hosting an international workshop on artificial intelligence and sustainable development

On October 29–30, 2026, the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) and the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg (Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm) will host an international workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability.”

The event aims to launch international scientific collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence and sustainable development. The main focus will be on exploring how artificial intelligence technologies can contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This event provides an opportunity for researchers and representatives of higher education institutions from various countries to exchange research findings, establish professional contacts, and launch new international research projects at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development.

The workshop will take place on October 29–30, 2026, at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

The organizers have announced that the workshop is now fully booked, so new applications for participation are no longer being accepted.

The event is one of BAYHOST’s initiatives aimed at developing international academic partnerships, fostering scientific exchange, and establishing new forms of cooperation between higher education institutions in Bavaria and countries in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe.
